The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 509 West Marine Rd in South Knox County today at 4:49 P.M., Monday.

The SVFD firefighters arrived at 5:00 P.M. to find a single story home with heavy smoke and fire showing.

Fire Fighter/EMT Mark Warren and Fire Fighter John Perry entered the home and quickly blackened down the majority of the fire.

Early indications show the fire is to be accidental in nature.
