Knoxville’s Scott Gardner bested runner-up Jimmy Hunt and third-place finisher Mike Price to win the Late Model feature event at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour Saturday night.

Gardner held off the 10-car field to take the checkered flag in Saturday’s most anticipated race at the legendary Seymour dirt track. Seymour’s Rusty Ballenger was the best hometown racer with an 11th place finish. Frog Ingle and Ron Chase, both of Seymour, finished 14th and 16th, respectively, in Saturday’s Late Model feature race.

Tony Horton, of Sneedville, had the fastest car in winning the Modified Mini feature race. Curtis Thomas, of Knoxville, and Robbie Comer, of Lafollette, finished second and third, respectively, in the race. Three Sevierville-based drivers—Mike Lewelling, Justin McCarter and Brad Lewelling—finished sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively, in the Modified Mini race.

Lafollette driver Nick Nelson took top honors in the Street Stock feature. Jason Ogle, of Knoxville, and Wes Johnson, of Lenoir City, rounded out the top three in the Street Stock race.
