Seymour First Baptist Church continues to be active in its worldwide missions outreach. The Transformed Choir (which includes youth from other churches) and several adults recently returned from a very successful mission trip to Guatemala. The ministry included medical and dental clinics, Bible clubs, block parties, witnessing, concerts, and construction. The church has an ongoing relationship with Albania and had a couple to go there recently.

Closer to home, construction teams have been to Lafayette, Tn. and Manna Ministries, Maryville. Trips in the near future are planned for Kingston, Tn., southwest Virginia, and Mississippi. Almost every week teams are involved in local construction projects for folks who have emergency needs.

First Baptist Church wishes to thank the Seymour community for its generous support of these mission efforts through gifts of time, money and materials; donations for and purchases at the missions rummage sales and auctions; and most of all, for the prayer support.

The church’s latest fund raiser for missions is an aluminum can recycling bin located adjacent to the Knoxville side of the church parking lot. Seymour residents are invited to bring their empty aluminum cans to the bin at any time–day or night. Yes, "We can!" for missions.

Seymour First Baptist Church continues to accept vehicles (cars, trucks, tractors) in any condition for its annual missions auction. For more information call 573-4934 or 577-1954.
