Cosby resident Joey Allen held off Chris Kelley, of Kodak, to win Saturday night’s Modified Mini feature at 411 Motor Speedway.

In his double-zero machine, Allen managed to stay in front of Kelley and track veteran Robert Hartwell, of Rutledge, down the stretch to take the victory in the tight race at Seymour’s legendary dirt oval. Track favorites, Seymour husband and wife racers Terry and Cindy Poor, finished seventh and 11th, respectively, in the 11 car Modified Mini field.

Newport’s Josh Driskill continued his banner season by winning the always-competitive Front-Wheel Drive feature Saturday.

Driskill, who also captains a double-zero car, was faster than runner-up Alex Squires, of Maryville, and Seymour’s own Robert Burris, who finished a respectable third place in the 10-car field.
