Due to the rising cost of gasoline, the Seymour High School football program will break from recent tradition and forego this summer’s week-long passing league camp at Webb in favor of a one-day passing league at Maryville College on July 19.

“Instead of going to Webb for five games in five days, we’ve decided to go the one-day camp at Maryville College,” said Seymour Eagles’ head football coach Gary Householder.

Maryville College offensive line coach Jim Elliott said the Eagles are one of many local high school programs opting for the cost-effective route this year.

“I think there are 25 teams already signed up,” said Elliott.
