Recently the Rebel Patrol from Boy Scout Troop 585 completed there Shotgun Merit Badge with the help of Curt Henderson from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency,  several Assistant Scoutmasters, and parents.

There are several requirements required to meet the completion of the merit badge. From learning weapons safety, identify principal parts of a shotgun, identify various gages of shotguns, learn & demonstrate how to properly clean a shotgun, shoot a total of 24 shots out of 50 shots, along with several other items.

This was a great opportunity for the Scout to learn safe gun handling practices, and shoot shot guns.

The boys would like to say a special “Thank You!” to Curt Henderson  for taking the time out of his busy schedule to help them with proper shooting skills.
