Yesterday evening at 8:53 P.M. a trailer fire caused smoke inhalation in one of two occupants.
The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department was called to 346 Highland View Road on a trailer fire, Firefighters arrived within 8 minutes of the call to find a single wide trailer about 90% involved in fire.
The firefighters had the fire under control within minutes of their arrival. The home was owned by Phillip Hickle. An unnamed female occupant was treated and transported for smoke inhalation and chest pain.
Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 7, Engine 12, Support 17, Squad 18 and 21 firefighters along with Rural Metro Ambulance Service responded to the call. The Knox County Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the cause.
