A 'meet the candidates' event will be held for Sevier County residents on Wednesday, January 30, 2007 at the Seymour Middle School gymnasium at 6 p.m.

This event has been scheduled to give the residents of Seymour and Sevier County the opportunity to hear each candidate present their vision for the future of Sevier County in one location, on one night.

Each candidate seeking the positions of Assessor of Property, School Board Representative and Sheriff has been contacted and invited to participate in the  event.

All candidates will be given the opportunity to address the attendees during a three minute speech.

Candidates which are unable to attend this event will be given the option of submitting a written statement to be read by the moderator or they may appoint a representative from their campaign to speak on their behalf.
