Tennessee offers a health insurance program called Cover Tennessee to provide insurance options that are affordable and meet the needs of the uninsured in our state. As part of Cover Tennessee, CoverKids offers qualifying families comprehensive health coverage to uninsured children in Tennessee, age 18 and under, and to pregnant women.
Children’s Hospital will host two CoverKids events on January 21 at Knoxville locations.
The day’s first enrollment event is part of Knoxville’s Martin Luther King, Jr., Day activities and is scheduled for 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Hardy Professional Building’s Health Department Clinic located at 2202 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in East Knoxville.
From 1-4 p.m., Children’s Hospital will partner with Ted Russell Ford in West Knoxville to sponsor a sign-up event to help East Tennesseans enroll their children in CoverKids.
