A vacation at a villa in Spain, a multi-strand, 18-karat gold necklace, a Tennessee Titans package, and a football autographed by Peyton Manning are items that will be auctioned at The Episcopal School’s Fourth Annual Saints Gala on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Downtown Knoxville Marriott.
More than $100,000 worth of items to be auctioned plus dinner and dancing to Nashville’s funk and rock band, Burning Las Vegas, will highlight the Cajun themed event. Proceeds from the ball will be used to pay for scholarships and operational costs of the non-profit Episcopal School.
April Stouffer and Ashley Haun are event co-chairs. Fundraising goal is $150,000 with about 400 guests expected to attend. Last year’s Gala netted more than $130,000 and drew more than 300 guests.
The Gala will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception hosted by Capital Wealth Management. Festivities are expected to last until midnight. Oliver Smith IV of Oliver Smith Realty and Auction Co. Inc. will lead the live auction.
Other auction items will include: a football jersey signed by Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, A sculpture piece by acclaimed artist Preston Farabow; a vacation getaway to Hilton Head, S.C.; and a gemstone bracelet donated by Jewelry Television. There will also be an auction of student art work, a traditional favorite of this event.
