Elisha Brown, Carolyn’s classroom Kindergarten teacher at Seymour Primary School wanted the community to know about the following little girl in her class:
There is a little girl in Kindergarten at Seymour Primary School that has fallen very ill.
About the beginning of December, she started having problems bending her legs to sit down. By the time school started, she could not get herself dressed, climb stairs, walk down the hallway by herself, play outside, or sit with her friends in class. She was admitted to Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, January 8th.
They now believe she has a rare progressive auto-immune disease where her immune system attacks her muscles. Her treatments began Friday, 1/11 in the PM. Once she stablizes, then she will be released to come home. Carolyn will not be able to attend school the rest of the year because her immune system will be too low and she doesn’t have the strength to stand up on her own. She still has a long road ahead of her.
