A Madisonville man was hospitalized and a Seymour woman charged with DUI after a two-car wreck on Highway 411 just south of Highway 360 in Vonore, Wednesday afternoon.

Vonore Police Sgt. Dean Norton said that witnesses told him that Holly Watkins, 22, was driving a blue Mustang northbound on Highway 411 when she crossed into oncoming traffic then went back into the median hitting a southbound Saturn in the passenger side.

The driver of the Saturn, Danny Ray Roberts, 36, of Englewood Road, Madisonville sustained a head injury. Monroe County EMS transported Roberts to a local hospital for treatment.

At least two witnesses who were also northbound on Highway 411 wrote statements to police that they saw Watkins first at the traffic light on Highway 411 at Highway 72 West.
