After thirty two years, Larry Parton is finally back at home as the new Seymour United States Postmaster.

Jamie Frisbee, Manager Post Office Operation, officially administered the Oath of Office to Parton with his wife, Angie, his two daughters, Rebecca and Alicia and the available postal crew observed the event.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, Parton was nearly speechless, but managed to say how happy we was to achieve his live-long goal of returning to Seymour.

“It’s been a struggle, a lot of moving, started in Knoxville, transferred to Maryville, got promoted back into Knoxville, temporary assignments to Morristown, Corrytown, Alcoa, and I kept trying to get back home to Seymour,” Parton stated during his speech.

Raised in Seymour, Parton left for a stint to serve in the military. After which he found his way back to Seymour via Maryville.
