A house fire Thursday evening brought out the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department to 1261 Ellijoy Rd. Seymour.

Engine 7 arrived to find a two story home with heavy black smoke showing.

It took firefighters around 30 minutes to control the fire. They stayed on the scene for three hours.

Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 7, Engine 15, Support 1, Support 2, Support 17, and 13 firefighters responded to the blaze. No injuries were reported.
