According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals, an arrest has been made in connection with the theft of hay from a local farmer.

Seals stated that that on Nov. 30th 2007 Jack McMahan reported that 42 round bales of hay had been stolen from him on Lonesone Valley Road in Sevier County.

An investigation was initiated at that time by the CID Division. After following several leads, 20 bales of the hay was discovered at a location in the Seymour area on Dec. 13th 2007.

As a result of the recovery of the hay, John Vincent Trotter age 30 of Sevierville was arrested and charged with one count of theft over $1000.00.
