New owners have plans to open the Seymour Zaxby’s next Tuesday if all goes well.
“There have been many hoops to jump thru for the new owners, but it seems that we will be open next Tuesday or in the worst case scenario by January 1st ,” stated Philip Kuhn. Kuhn is Zaxby’s Trained and Zaxby’s Certified and the General Manager of the Seymour location.
The Seymour Zaxby's restaurant, which opened in March of this year, was seized for unpaid taxes in November. The Seymour location was co-owned with the Sevierville location. Both restaurants were seized and posted by the Tennessee Department of Revenue for unpaid taxes.
“We are about half way there in our hiring quota,” Kuhn told the Seymour Herald. The restaurant is looking to hire 40 employees. “That’s what we need to open,” stated Kuhn.
