According to Sevier Co. Sheriff Ron Seals, Sevier Co. Sheriffs Office received a 911 call at app. 8:35 AM to a home located at 970 Pine St. in the Seymour community of a possible burglary in progress.
Officers arrived on the scene and the suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle. Apparently the burglary had not made entry into the home.
The owner of the home was not there at the time of the incident. A description was obtained by witnesses of the subjects and the vehicle they fled in by witnesses. A short time later the vehicle was located on Pickens Gap Rd. in Knox County.
Investigators at the scene found evidence that linked the male subject that was driving the car to the attempted burglary.
