The Seymour Zaxby's restaurant, which just opened in March of this year, was seized for unpaid taxes Thursday. The Seymour location is co-owned with the Sevierville location. Both restaurants were seized and posted by the Tennessee Department of Revenue for unpaid taxes.

The sign on the front door at both locations, in Seymour and on Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville, states "Property has been seized" for nonpayment of state taxes.

It was reported in the Seymour Herald last month that the Zaxby's lease was for sale.

"The food quality and quantity has been diminishing for several months, maybe this is why," stated a Zaxby's customer that wished to remain anonymous.
