Award-winning ventriloquists Stephen Knowles and Ken Groves will hold a Weekend Ventriloquism Workshop on Jan. 18-19, 2008, at the Park Grove Inn in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The workshop is limited to the first 50 registrants and costs $300 for this fun-filled weekend of learning and entertainment.

The registration fee includes two days of professional instruction in ventriloquism, Friday and Saturday night accommodations at the Park Grove Inn, Saturday and Sunday morning continental breakfast, Saturday night dinner, Sunday lunch, and tickets to The Comedy Barn show on Saturday night. In addition, Knowles and Groves will kick-off the weekend with a special ventriloquism performance at the hotel on Friday night.

The course is for beginners and those who have been studying a while but want to move to the next level.  Who might be interested in learning ventriloquism?  Past students have ranged from those hoping to use puppets in ministry to grandparents wishing to entertain the grandkids.  Knowles also suggests a more novel use.  "We would love to have a professional football coach come and learn.  They are always hiding their mouths when calling plays.

If a coach knew ventriloquism he could call plays without fear of the opposing team reading his lips."
