Tech Bytes is a series of mini courses designed to give you a "taste" of popular software packages. The 1.5 hour classes are open to anyone with basic keyboard and mouse skills. Lunch is included in the cost of the classes and will be provided by S&B Deli.

October sessions include using search engines and learning about the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL). On Friday, October 19, the mini-course, Tech Bytes: Search Engines, will teach attendees how to use these software programs to search databases and the World Wide Web.

The Friday, October 26 mini class is Tech Bytes: Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL). TEL is probably one of the library's best resources. TEL, sponsored by the Tennessee State Library & Archives, contains hundreds of databases that are excellent resources for students and life-long learners. This Tech Byte course will teach the attendees how to take advantage of this great resource.

All of the Tech Bytes mini-courses are held in the Sevier County Main Library Meeting Room at 321 Court Avenue from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. The cost for the class and lunch is $10.00 per person. To register for any of the upcoming classes or receive more information about the classes, please contact the Sevier County Public Library Administration Office at 865-428-7653.
