The reigning district volleyball champions from Seymour High School got the postseason rolling Wednesday evening with straight triumphs over the Tennessee School for the Deaf.

Seymour made easy work of TSD, winning 25-11, 24-9 and 25-2 to earn a bid into the semifinal round to face Grace Christian Thursday evening at the site of this year’s district 3-A/AA tourney, Gibbs High School.

Should the Lady Eagles emerge victorious against Grace Christian, they would turn around and face the winner of the Alcoa-Cosby match in the 7:30 p.m. championship round.

In Wednesday’s victory over TSD, Seymour was led by Hailey Lindsey (26 points, 10 aces, 26 sets and 16 assists) and Kayla Messel (six spikes and four kills).
