The sport of volleyball has officially arrived at Seymour Middle School.

After several years of getting a successful middle school program up and running, the Lady Eagles had arguably their best day Tuesday when they defeated rival Sevierville Middle School for the coveted Sevier County Middle School Volleyball Championship on their home court at SMS.

“It was a perfect way to end what has been a tremendous year for Seymour Middle School volleyball,” SMS head coach Phil Hamilton stated.

“The final game (against Sevierville) was one of the finest volleyball matches I’ve seen—bar none,” Hamilton added. “Everything was hard-fought. There were no easy points to be had for either team.”
