A commercial property commonly known as D's Appliance sold at auction for approximately $1.4 million Saturday September 8th.

The price listed for a large part of that property with Teresa Luttrell, a real estate broker, was for just over $900,000.

Owner of the property Dee Ownby will be leaving the community.

"I've been there since 1988 and it's time to spend some time with the grandbabies," Ownby told the Seymour Herald. "I'm very sad to leave the community."

Ownby had the property listed with Luttrell over three months and was unsuccessful at moving it at the bargain price.
