A two car accident on Chapman Highway resulted in a woman that was trapped in her vehicle.
The vehicles with single occupants were taken to hospitals. Clyde Loposser, an eye witness, told the Seymour Herald, "The red Toyota pickup was stopped ready to make a left turn onto Reagan Branch Road when the woman in the white Pickup rear ended the Toyota.
The accident was called into the Sevier County Sheriff's Department at 10:48 AM Thursday. The woman that was trapped in the Ford pickup was air lifted by Lifestar to the hospital. At first it was announced on the scanner that one of the drivers' legs was amputated.
