Senator Finney Awards Essay Winners in Seymour

Senator Raymond Finney made a special trip to Seymour Middle School Thursday, June 21^st to help honor students who excelled in an essay contest..

The students were winners of the Club Herald – Seymour Herald Essay Contest sponsored by Senator Finney entitled, "How I Can Make America Better."

Over 275 entries were received.

Winners included: Pamela Rose Johnson, 3^rd – 4^th grade winner from Sevierville Intermediate School; Will South, 5^th – 6^th grade winner from Boyds Creek Elementary School; Stephen Messina 7^th – 8^th grade winner from Sevierville Middle School; Grand Prize Winner Scottie Prater, a 7^th grader at Seymour Middle School.

Two Honorable Mentions included Courtney Speers, Sevierville Intermediate and Clay Roberts from Boyds Creek Elementary School.
