Fishing on Cherokee is good this week as the warm weather pushes fish into deeper water. The water temperature is a constant 82 degrees at the surface.

The location of choice for anglers this week is around rock banks and rocky points in 10 to 15 feet of water

Several lures are working well on Cherokee but Zoom lizards that are pumpkin seed in color with chartreuse tails seem to be producing the best results for catching larger fish.

Other lures that are working well are deep running crank baits and spinner baits that are darker in color. These darker colors resemble natural baits for bass and produce very good results in water with good clarity.
