Carson-Newman College President James S. Netherton presented degrees to two hundred fifty-eight graduates and masters degree candidates at Carson-Newman's Spring Commencement, held on May 12.
Jim Ethier, president of Bush Brothers and a member of C-N's president's advisory board, gave the commencement address. Ethier is a third generation member of the Bush family, who's "Bush's Best," headquartered in Knoxville, TN, is the nation's leading brand of bean products. Ethier also serves on several industry boards and his been honored for his years of service to the food industry. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, and received his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
The following Seymour residents received degrees:
Kimberly R. Debusk, Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with Elementary Education, graduating magna cum laude
Andrea Nicole Gadd, Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Journalism
