According to Sevier County Sheriff, Ron Seals, the burglary of a Seymour church has been solved. Seals states that in the early morning hours on Saturday May 12th, 2007 the St. Paul Episcopal Church located at 1028 Boyds Creek Rd. was burglarized and several items were taken from the church, including computer equipment and obects used in the church services.
The Sheriff's Dept. Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation at that time and on Tuesday May 15th 2007 detective's developed suspects in the burglary. The investigation led to the arrest of 1 adult and 2 juveniles and the recovery of the items taken from church.
Arrested and charged with burglary is David James Loveday, age 18 of 3824 Mutton Hollow Rd. Knoxville. The two juvenile males ages 16 and 17, also from Knox County, were charged along with the adult and both are incarcerated in the Sevier Co. Juvenile Facility and the adult was booked into Sevier County Jail.
