The 6th annual SafeSpace Gala Dinner and Silent Auction has been set for Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Great Hall of First United Methodist Church of Sevierville. This year\’s event will feature entertainer and comedian, Phil Campbell, son of late humorist and artist, Archie Campbell. Carrying on his father\’s tradition, Phil entertains with his own brand of music and humor. Phil has entertained both with his father and on his own for over 20 years. He has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, Hee Haw, and is currently the co-host of the Nashville Network\’s very popular dance show, Club Dance. Popular radio talk show host, Phil Williams, will provide additional entertainment as Master of Ceremonies.
For the 6th year, the Peddler/Park Grill Restaurants of Gatlinburg will provide a delicious meal including \”moonshine chicken.\” Musical entertainment and a silent auction will take place throughout the evening. \”We have some spectacular silent auction items including a week long stay at a beautiful condominium at Pauley\’s Island\” says SafeSpace Executive Director, Van Wolfe. \”This event is one of our main fundraisers for the year and we rely tremendously upon it to continue to provide free and critical services to the many victims of domestic violence in our community.\”
Tickets are $25.00 each or tables of eight can be purchased for $200.00. All proceeds benefit SafeSpace, a non-profit agency devoting services and safety to victims of domestic violence in Jefferson, Cocke, and Sevier counties.
