GATLINBURG – The City’s Department of Tourism has recognized a prestigious group of entries as winners in the 2006 Winterfest Decorating Contest.
Results of the judging by a select panel commissioned by the Office of Special Events include:
Best Attraction Display (tie) – Christus Gardens and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
Best Accommodations Display (99 rooms or less) – Gillette Motel
Best Accommodations Display (100-plus rooms) – Gatlinburg Town Square
Best Retail Display – The Hayloft
Best Window Display – The Silver Tree
Craftsmen’s Award – Gift Boutique Corner
Best Mall Display – The Village
Best Restaurant Display – Legends By Max
Best Service Business Small Display – Tennessee State Bank
Best Service Business Large Display (tie) – Club Chalet Home Owners and Sheer Envy Hair & Nails
Best All New Display – Ripley’s Believe It or Not
Honorable Mention All New Display – Midtown Lodge
