Gibson, perhaps most famous for its Les Paul guitar, will give away a new Gibson Mastertone RB 250 Banjo on September 16 during the annual Dumplin Valley Blue Grass Festival. The RB 250 is valued at over $3400.
This is the second year the instrument company has provided an instrument for the festival as a way to raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains. Last year, the banjo raised $2,000 for the organization and they hope to make it $3,000 in 2006.
To register for the drawing, visit Music Outlet on Highway 66 or the Sevierville branch of the Boys & Girls Club. You may also register at the festival itself, which takes place September 14 – 16. You do not have to be present to win.
For more information on the drawing or the festival, please contact the Music Outlet at 453-1031.
