James “Jim” Oliver Coar, age 75 of Sevierville, passed away Friday, September 22, 2006. He was a member of Voice of Victory Full Gospel Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Meritta Coar, brother Robert Coar, and sister Carolyn Manza. Survivors: Wife: Frances Alsdorf Coar

Funeral service 7 PM Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Manning, Pastor Ronnie Richmond, and Brother Leonard Schubert officiating. Family and friends will meet 2 PM Monday in Trinity Full Gospel Cemetery for interment with military honors. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Sunday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
