Five matches planned; tickets now on sale
Some of wrestling’s favorite stars will be featured at the Knoxville Wrestling Legends Night on Saturday, August 6 at the Homer Hamilton Theater in Knoxville’s Chilhowee Park. Not only will some of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) stars and former stars be competing for an exciting evening of entertainment, but fans will also get to help a great cause – proceeds from the event benefit Children’s Hospital.
The evening’s Big Main Event features Brad and Scott Armstrong vs. Robert Fuller and Storm Trooper.
The semi-main event features the following former WWF stars: Ronnie Garvin & Bob Armstrong vs. Bob Orton & Greg Valentine; Killer Kyle vs. Dirty White Boy; Buff “the Stuff” Bagwell vs. Stan Lee; “Wildcat” Wendell Cooley vs. Chris Powers; Special appearances by Ron Wright, Terry Landell and gospel performer Tony Peters.
In addition to the wrestling matches, a special appearance by the Knox County Sheriff Department helicopter will be a great attraction for families to enjoy.
Tickets are currently available for sale at CATS Music, UT’s Thompson-Boling Arena or by calling 973-8092. General admission is $10. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., with bell time at 7:30 p.m.
