Children and adult caregivers are invited to “Paws, Claws, Scales & Tales” a free movie matinee every Wednesday at 2pm as part of the Summer Reading Program. The next animated movie is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2nd and will be Walt Disney’s The Lion King, a classic film where a young lion prince is born in Africa and his Uncle Scar plots with the hyenas to kill King Mufasa and Prince Simba, thus making himself King. The King is killed and Simba is led to believe by Scar that it was his fault, and so flees the kingdom in shame. After years of exile he is persuaded to return home to overthrow the usurper and claim the kingdom as his own thus completing the “Circle of Life”. Children and accompanying adult are invited to bring snacks to enjoy during the movie.
