My name is David Farmer and I am running in the Republican primary for Governor. Since our leaders are going to raise Pre-K funding to 55 million per year, I wish to attach two reports that show that there is no correlation between Pre-K spending and graduation rates. All one has to do is look at Georgia whose graduation rate is 56% as opposed to Tennessee’s graduation rate of 60%. Georgia has had Pre-K since 1993 at a cost of 1.15 billion dollars and they have had little improvement in test scores. By not addressing the real problem with our education system (our high schools) we simply waste money and time. I am the only candidate speaking out on this and other subjects.
