Great times, delicious food and fantastic entertainment will abound on Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson’s All American Weekend Celebration!
A highlight of the festivities will be the daring stunt bike exhibitions that will be presented both days when the amazing riders from Harleystunts in Kansas return to SMH-D for another awe-inspiring appearance. Jeff Schneider (“Father Time”), Aaron Cline (“Latino Heat”) and Wayne Strickland (“Wild Man Wayne”) will entertain the crowd with a series of stunts that are guaranteed to leave your heart pounding. This fearless trio, a crowd favorite at SMH-D’s anniversary celebration last fall, perform shows across the country riding only Harley and Buell bikes as they execute amazing stunts that leave audiences wondering how in the world a human OR a motorcycle could perform such astonishing feats.
On Saturday the crowd will be treated to a very special exhibition when Jeff Schneider revs the engine of his Harley-Davidson XR750 and speeds up the ramp for a death-defying car-jumping exhibition. This is extreme sport bike riding at its best folks so be sure to bring your cameras to capture the thrills on film.
Other activities planned for the All American Weekend Celebration include the Long Hot Summer Fashion Show featuring the latest trends in Harley-Davidson motor clothes (Saturday, 4:30 p.m.), a tattoo contest on Sunday hosted by nationally recognized and award-winning tattoo artist Miss Autumn from Integrity Tattoo in Maryville, and live music by various artists both days. On Saturday evening get ready to rock at a special fundraising concert performed by national recording artist The Bottle Rockets at 8 p.m. The concerts will take place at SMH-D’s 16,000 square foot covered music pavilion, “THE SHED” so the show will go on, rain or shine. Cold beverages and great food, including smoked Black Angus burgers, will be available at “THE SHED” restaurant.
The All American Weekend Celebration will kick-off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, and all activities are free with the exception of The Bottle Rockets concert which is $10 per person. This particular concert will benefit grass roots independent public radio station WDVX 89.9 FM.
