The Pigeon Forge Planning Commission approved the second phase of the RiverStone Resort, which will double the size of the resort, adding 156 condominium units.
The resort is near Dollywood Lane in Pigeon Forge, between the Little Pigeon River and the Gatlinburg Golf Course and Country Club.
This next phase will add three new buildings to the complex, with one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. The resort’s initial phase features golf-front condos and have already almost completely sold out. The second phase additions will face the river and, while that phase won’t begin until August, units can be purchased at pre-construction discount rates from now until July 30.
The resort features a day spa with the latest massage therapy, skin care and hand and foot treatments, as well as a sauna and whirlpool. They also offer a state-of-the-art fitness center and indoor and outdoor pools.
Nestled along the Little Pigeon River, the resort also has hiking trails and access to trout fishing.
The resort also caters to children with its lazy river pool, billiards and air hockey in the game room and playground. Meeting space is also available for family reunions, wedding receptions, church groups or business activities. Shular Contracting, Inc. is the general contractor for the project. RiverStone Rentals, LLC is a division of Shular Companies, which owns 14 hotels in four states renting more than 405,000 rooms every year and employing more than 500 people. In East Tennessee, Shular Companies owns and operates six hotels in Pigeon Forge (742 rooms).
