Tuesday’s Edition of the Smoky Mountain Herald featured the guest editorial “Public Land Sales Don’t Make Sense for Tennesseans.” The piece was written by John Noel who is the president of Knoxville-based Southern Alliance for Clean Energy. Noel’s name was mistakenly left off of the article; The Herald regrets the mistake.
Noel led the successful environmental coalitions of Tennessee and North Carolina to clean up the Pigeon River. He also serves on several local, state and national boards including Tennessee Forest Council, Tennessee Conservation Voters, the Climate Institute in Washington D.C., and is the current President of the Tennessee Environmental Endowment Fund.
