The deadline to register to vote in time for the May 2 Republican and Democratic Primaries is tomorrow—Friday, March 31.
Applications must be handed in to the Election Commission office or post marked by Friday.
Forms can be handed-in in person at the Election Commission office located in room 208E of the Sevier County Courthouse. You can also register at Local High Schools, Register of Deeds – Courthouse, County Clerk – Courthouse, Public Libraries, Local post offices, Health Department, Department of Safety, or Department of Human Services.
Or you can mail in your completed registration form. Application forms are available online at www.state.tn.us/sos/election/ss-3010.pdf/.
The Election Commission Office is open from 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Fridays.
To register to vote, you must be a United States Citizen, a resident of Sevier County, at least 18 years old by the next election, and must have not been convicted of a felony (or had your voting rights restored).
