Eagles to play a pair of games at UT’s Lindsay Nelson Stadium

Another busy weekend is on the slate for the county high school baseball clubs.
Seymour began play in the very competitive Sports Belle Tournament on Thursday. The tourney, which will last through Saturday, will be played at a couple different locations around Knoxville. The Eagles were scheduled to play Division II 2005 state runner-ups Webb Thursday afternoon, and then face anther opponent Thursday evening at the University of Tennessee’s Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Eagles were scheduled to play Bearden on Friday and Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett on Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The site of Seymour’s Friday game was not determined at press time.
Head coach Larry Cannon is scheduled to take his Pigeon Forge Tigers on a long road trip for a set of contests in Abington, Virginia on Saturday.
The Sevier County Smoky Bears hosted non-district Cherokee on Thursday and are scheduled to travel for a game against the Campbell County Cougars on Saturday.
