As we approach the beginning of a New Year, many of you will be thinking about New Year’s resolutions. Personally, I do not make resolutions because I find that they often serve to discourage, rather than encourage. Health Clubs report that January is always the highest month of the year, in terms of enrollments. However, in February, many people quit coming.
Please understand, I believe in goals and I set them all the time. There is a connection between the fingers and the brain. That is, when you write something down and break it achievable pieces, you will often accomplish it. I have a To-Do list every day and experience has proven that if you will do the two or three things that you really dread, first thing in the morning, you will accomplish more that day. Although, in all candor, some days several things get carried over and every day one or two things don’t get done, but it’s my list and that is my call.
Hopefully one of your goals for the New Year will be to focus more on the Golden Rule, that is; Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It really will make the world a better place to live and it will help you enjoy a better day, every day. Here are some tried and proven ways that you can be an Up Person In an all too often down world. Happy New Year!
