Senior Sevier Outreach is a program designed to assist seniors through evaluation and identification of area resources. Outreach volunteers receive training over a twelve-week period in needs assessment, available resources and CPR.
The Sevier County Office on Aging oversees the program, with assistance from the Sevierville Police Department and the Sevier County Sheriffs Office.
The volunteers will go to homes of seniors and conduct a needs assessment, locate necessary resources and conduct weekly follow-ups. Volunteers will also provide companionship and crime prevention assistance, especially regarding scams that seniors often fall prey to.
For additional information or to ask about volunteer opportunities, please call 865-453-8080.
