The Louisiana Motorcoach Association (LMA) has named Joy McKee its 2005 Associate of the Year. McKee, senior sales manager for the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism, accepted the award during the organizations recent annual meeting in Pigeon Forge.The award is presented to an LMA associate member who has best represented his or her company, attraction, property or destination and provided quality service throughout the year to business obtained as a direct result of contacts made through the LMA.
“Joy has exhibited a genuine interest in motorcoach group business for the Pigeon Forge area,” said LMA executive director Linda Morris. “Operators of the Louisiana Motorcoach Association recognize Joy’s interest and abilities and appreciate her attention to detail and follow through when doing business with them.”The Louisiana Motorcoach Association was established three years ago, and its December 2005 meeting marked the first time the annual meeting has included an awards program.McKee joined the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism in 2001 and was named senior sales manager in October 2005.
