Both Seymour teams and Sevier County girls face challenging week of tourney games

The Seymour High School boys and girls basketball teams will begin play today in the Pilot-Foodmart Winter Classic Basketball Tournament at Catholic High School.
The Eagles will face York Institute Tuesday at noon. The Lady Eagles will follow in the next game with a contest against Chattanooga Red Bank.
The Seymour teams will face challenging competition on Wednesday as well. The Lady Eagles will see Angela Puleo and the William Blount Lady Governors in the first game of the day at 9 am and the Eagle will face Goodpasture at noon.
The Sevier County Smoky Bearettes will be competing in the always-competitive Greene County Bank Ladies Classic in Greeneville. The Bearettes will face sterling sophomore post Glory Johnson and the Webb Lady Spartans in first round action at 1 p.m.
The Bearettes will then play either South Greene or Burchhoz on Wednesday.
