To be discussed at December 13 Doctor’s Corner
“Adolescent Health Issues” is the Tuesday, December 13, topic of Doctor’s Corner, a free series of informal educational talks sponsored by East Tennessee Medical Group. Leading the discussion will be family practice physician Darryl Riegel, M.D., in the East Tennessee Medical Group facility, 266 Joule St., Alcoa.
The evening will begin with refreshments at 6:30 p.m. in the East Tennessee Medical Group Community Room followed by the lecture at 7 p.m. Seating is limited. A drawing will be held for a gift basket, worth more than $100.
Dr. Riegel will discuss some of the most problematic health issues affecting pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults, ranging from common illnesses to adolescent mental health.
Dr. Riegel received his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He completed an internship at Scott Air Force Base, United States Air Force Hospital in Belleville, Illinois and a residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Riegel is board certified with the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
