Seymour senior post Brittany Mikels averaged17 points during the Lady Eagles’ first week of basketball action that saw the team establish a 2-2 record. Mikels scored 23 points in a season-opening win at Campbell County and then poured in 12 points in a Lady Eagles’ victory over Maryville the following night. Although she was feeling under the weather during the holiday weekend’s tournament at Heritage High School, Mikels still scored 17 points in a loss to Tellico Plains and totaled 19 points in a loss to Webb.
