Three of the school’s work very hard every year to have 100% memberships in the Reading Association. Sevierville Primary led as Brook Blair reached over 100%, while Seymour Primary and Pigeon Forge Primary, led by Tonja O’Dell and Sharon Coker, each had 100% memberships in SCRA and TRA. Kincaid was honored to help Betty Denton present awards for 100% Memberships to the three schools.
To have every certified professional and even some paraprofessionals as members shows the enthusiasm and dedication to this organization. Each year the schools with 100% memberships get to have an author’s visit if it can be arranged for the two days he or she is with the school.
This year’s author is the funny and talented Lester Laminack.
Kincaid wanted to personally thank each of these three schools for the continued support.
Sevierville Primary has been 100% for 4 years.
Both Seymour and Pigeon Forge have been 100% for 2 years each. This is quite an accomplishment. Without the help and cooperation of the staff and students, this district could not have the state recognized council that it has know as the Sevier County Reading Association.
