The Tennessee RV/Herald Newspaper Sevier County Player of the Week for last week is Seymour High School’s Matt Litton.
Litton came up big for the Eagles’ defense Friday night in a key region battle against Pigeon Forge on a rainy night at Tiger Field. Litton led the Seymour defense with nine tackles and recovered two Pigeon Forge fumbles. Litton’s second fumble recovery came with the Tigers driving downfield for a would-be tying touchdown.
Litton’s recovery secured his team’s 10-3 win against a county foe and kept the Eagles in the hunt for home field advantage in next month’s high school football playoffs.
