Truck drivers have higher death rate

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says overall safety belt use is at an all-time high, but only 70 percent of pickup truck drivers use their seat belts and their death rate in crashed is higher.
Statistics also show seat belts can reduce the risk of death by up to 60 percent in pickup trucks, SUVs and minivans, and by 45 percent in passenger cars.

The Kansas school board has held hearings on whether challenges to evolution should be taught in public schools and they are now weighing a broader definition of science.
Those who support intelligent design want the board to reject a definition limiting science to natural explanations for what’s observed in the world.
They would prefer defining science as a “systematic method of continuing investigation” without specifying what kind of answer is being sought.
That definition has outraged many scientists who do no want students discussing possible supernatural causes for natural phenomena in their classes.
