Seymour High School Baccalaureate
Seniors, parents, teachers & staff are invited to attend the Baccalaureate Service for the 2005 graduating class of Seymour High School on Sunday, May 22, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Valley Grove Baptist Church. The special speaker will be Rev. Charles Maynard. Rev. Maynard is an ordained United Methodist minister, an author, and storyteller. He was the minister at Seymour United Methodist from 1984 to 1993. His message will be entitled “The Magic Lifesaving Stick”. Music will be provided by the Senior Chorus members under the direction of Jean Burkhart. Students are asked to wear Sunday dress (per School dress code) and arrive at 1:30 to line up for the processional. For more information, contact the school office at 577-7040. Youth ministries are encouraged to attend.

The Friends of the Kodak Branch Library will hold their regular bi-monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 23, 2005 at 6:30pm at the Kodak Branch Library located on West Dumplin Valley Road. For more information, please call Dwight Shepherd at 933-2438.

Farmers Market in Seymour starts
The farmers market will be open from 7:30a.m. to10:30a.m. every Saturday from June 4 through August 27 in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church of Seymour on Chapman
Hwy. Local farmers and gardeners are invited to bring products they produce for sale. Fruits, vegetables,eggs,honey,plants,cut flowers,or herbs are all welcome.Health Department rules do not allow homemade baked goods or canned products. (Small businesses agricultural product such as jellies,baked goods,hotsauces,etc. should bring a copy of their health inspection papers and license.) There is no charge to participate, but you should bring your own tables,scales and bags. Members of the Sevier Count Food Co-op will be present to direct traffic and ensure that the parking lot is left in a clean condition.
